The longest Psalm in the Bible is Psalm 119.

It has been called the Psalm of the Scriptures because it concentrates on one thing,

the amazing sufficiency of God's word for our lives.

Open to Psalm 119 today and open your heart to the Lord as we

join Scott Pauli in this study. It is our prayer that through God's truth, you will find all you need.

What kind of day are you having today? I imagine if I could hear all of your voices right now, I would get quite a variety of answers,

because life is full of variety, isn't it?

Varied emotions, varied experiences, the ups and downs of life.

But I want you to know that on any day, every day,

there is one thing we all need.

I'm going to tell you what it is.

We need to see God's face.

We've come in our study of Psalm 119 to the section that begins in verse 129

and continues to verse 136.

Now, in our last study, in the previous section, we established that we are the Lord's servant.

Do you remember? He's the master, we're the servant. Well, now in the section that follows,

we learn what the servant's greatest need is and what the servant's greatest joy is, and it is to see

the master's face. We'll walk through the whole section, but let me show you the key that

unlocks the section. It's found near the end in verse 1.35, where the psalmist makes this prayer,

make thy face to shine upon thy servant and teach me thy statutes. I'm his servant, but I've got to see the master's face.

We so quickly seek God's hand, but not his face.
