Hi again, I was so looking forward to teaching from the gospel of Matthew tonight.

We're two and a half years into a four-year-long teaching series and practicing the way of Jesus.

I love it, but I was so looking forward to a little Greek exe-Jesus,

little first century history, a little you thought it meant this, actually it means this.

That stuff, I was so looking forward to it, but the moment I sat down to begin my research for tonight,

I just felt arrested in my spirit that I, to pass on a very simple word to you.

Now, I don't have a direct line to God. Bethany does, I don't.

So, this isn't like, you know, email from Jesus, let me read it to you.

This is just my best attempt through my own personality for better or for worse,

to pass on to you as the church family that I am a brother in.

I sense the spirit is saying to our church for the days and weeks ahead,

in particular the Holy Spirit conference, okay? Does that sound like a plan?

It is either way, so I hope you're okay with that.

When I was five years old, I was diagnosed with ADD, some of you are saying that explains so much.

I was heading into kindergarten and the doctors wanted to put me on Ritalin.

I, at the time, was in California where I grew up and there was a professor from UCLA in our church,

who was an expert in early childhood development, learning theory, kind of pioneer in her field,

and as her ministry at the church, she would offer a free consultation for, quote, troubled children.

You could still call us that back in the 80s. It's not okay anymore. It was back then.

So my parents who were down here in the front row immediately signed me up first thing.
