0:12.2	I will preach to you of wine and strong drink, he would be the preacher for this people.

0:28.0	God is saying through a faithful true prophet Micah that his people just want to hear what they
0:35.2	want to hear, they want to be encouraged and comforted to continue living for the prosperity of

0:50.3	So I read this and I think, what about us? Do we want to hear confronting,
0:56.7	correcting truth in God's Word? Do we welcome it in our hearts? Are we living with that kind of
1:02.9	humility? I know I am prone to not want to be corrected, rebute by God's Word or even by people
1:12.4	who are sharing God's Word with me and people who care for me and love me and want to help me grow
1:18.8	in holiness. I can, I'm guessing we all can be prone to not want that and instead to just want
1:28.2	comforting, encouraging words even if we're going in the wrong direction. In our sinful foolishness,
1:35.1	we can want to be encouraged toward selfishness and sin. And at the same time, here's a picture of
1:44.4	Micah saying there are plenty of people who will do this who will encourage you and point you
1:49.8	towards sin. We live in a world where we are surrounded by people who are pointing us to that
1:56.2	which is not from God and the danger is when there are even people who call themselves the people
2:03.3	of God who are doing this. So God, we pray for your help in our lives for your salvation from our
2:12.2	own sinfulness. On a daily basis today, God, we pray that we would ignore your correcting,
2:22.5	rebuking, confronting Holy Spirit. Your correcting, rebuking, confronting Holy Word. God,
2:32.0	we pray for humility. Save us from pride that seeks to be comforted and encouraged in our sin
2:40.5	and in living for ourselves. God, to help us, we pray to hear your Word when it confronts us
