It's great to be back at Saddleback.

I love this church.

I love this community.

Leslie and I love living in Orange County.

But we moved to Houston, Texas to be near our two oldest grandchildren.

And they become total Texans, by the way.

They were California girls, but they moved out to Texas, and Texas has got that vibe, you know.

And so they took horseback riding lessons, and they had cowboy hats and cowboy boots and everything.

They're totally, and the reason I know they're total Texas converts is one night at dinner.

My little granddaughter Penelope, she calls me Bapa.

She said, Bapa, could I pray for dinner tonight?

I said, sure.

So this is what she prayed.

God is good.

God is great.

Thank you for the Lone Star State.

So that's a true Texan. That's a true. But I'm from Chicago. What do I know about Texas? Nothing. So we moved to Texas. No kidding. I went on Amazon and I bought a book called

How to Talk Texan. I'm serious. There's a book. You can read it. You can learn. I did.

First thing I learned about talking Texan is the difference between y'all and all y'all. That all y'all is plural. It makes sense. But we just don't use those terms. I never thought about it before.
