In the past several years I've been realizing that sometimes I've let prayer be

kind of a means of last resort. I got nothing else I can do. I'm going to pray

instead of this is an open conversation with

God, it's ongoing, it's a little meandering and wandering sometimes, but it's all

about communing with, talking to, and really listening to God,

and that's very comforting to me that it's not a performance, it's an ongoing dialogue.

I'm John Fuller joined by my focus colleague Dr. Danny, it's amazing that I can go to God with anything and particularly that I can bring my kids to him, especially as they've gotten older, the stakes are higher.

My prayers for my children have increased as they've gotten older.

I love being in that ongoing conversation with God because there are many things that are out of

our control with our kids, with our family, within culture, but he says we can lean into

him to have faith in him and to find peacefulness in the midst of

And it's about us managing that real estate of the mind and entering that conversation with God of prayer and

trusting that he's listening as we're listening and I love the word you use

there with prayer listening I think we forget that many times along the way and I love to just talk have that

dialogue throughout the day while I'm driving or in certain places and all day long

we carry our insecurities our weaknesses with ourselves and in that place

God says I will make you strong. Yeah he's a loving heavenly father who knows us

better than we know ourselves and that is some great comfort. Well, Jim
