For years, I have been riding horses in Puebla, Mexico where I live.

And recently, I found a refuge for horses that have been either mistreated or neglected.

Ever since, I've volunteered there.

It is said that rescue horses can be aggressive, but I am grateful that what I'm learning in Christian science

enables me to see them as they truly are,

spiritual ideas of God.

I look at every horse from this standpoint and often talk to them about their spiritual identity.

I tell them that they dwell in the atmosphere of God's love and safety,

and therefore couldn't be victims of a harsh environment.

I developed a beautiful relationship with a cold and a stallion.

When I took care of the stallion, the cold would sometimes come closer

and struck the stallion with his nose, and vice versa, when I took care of the cold.

I felt we were in a state of love, harmony, and peace.

One day, though, while I was brushing the cold, I felt the stallion suddenly approaching us,

and when I turned to him, I said,

Tranquilo, be at peace. He unexpectedly threw a kick, hitting me hard. I went flying through the air toward the cold, who bolted in fear.

After I got my breath and gathered myself,

I immediately had a clear idea that we were still only in the atmosphere of God,
