What's up everyone? Welcome back to our final episode of the Epic Gardening

podcast with Margaret Roach, the author of A Way to Garden, which is a blog. It's a

newly released book or a newly released book, and actually also the name of her

podcast, which if you're listening to this at the time of release, I am on.

So I'm on it sometime this week depending on the day that you're listening to

our podcast right now. So go ahead and check her podcast out. It's fantastic. I've learned

a lot from it and it's very cool to to be on it

so thank you for having on Margaret and I thought what we could do as we're moving

through the book which if you guys don't remember it's a guide throughout the seasons and so we've talked about things like

what to do in your summer for your tomatoes we've talked about how to prepare for fall planting

and I thought we could talk a little bit about what

to do in winter of which there are certainly things to do but one of my favorite things to do and

I think yours as well would be just shopping for more seeds.

And you have a whole rule.

Yeah, and I'm sure you have a system that you like.

I certainly have mine and I'd love to know kind of your rules, your rules of thumb for doing it.

Yeah, I do. And this is something that has jelled kind of in my mind the more that I've interviewed

some of the great people who are fighting the kind of takeover of all of our genetic heritage in recent decades, you know, by the big sort of big

agribusiness companies that own all the seeds these days sort of as if it's

intellectual property, as if it's can be copyrighted or trademarked or whatever.

And so a lot of seed companies

got kind of tossed out of business.
