Let's start today's prayer, taking a deep breath in and a deep breath out.

Let go of distractions and other things that are happening in our world.

And give yourself these moments to connect with Jesus in a real authentic way.

Listen to these words in Romans chapter 5 in verse 1. This is the description of what happens

when we decide to put our faith in Jesus. Romans 5 1 says our faith in Jesus transfers God's righteousness to us. And now he declares us flawless in his eyes. This means that we can now enjoy true and lasting peace with God, all because of what our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, has done for us.

We're going to pray through some portions of this verse together, but first I want you to

close your eyes and open up your hands. Open your hands is if you're going to receive a gift.

Now I want you to picture a beautifully wrapped gift being put into your hands. You didn't shop for it. You didn't pick it out.

In fact, all you have to do now is open it up.

So now picture yourself opening that gift up.

And inside that gift is the gift of righteousness.

That means that all of the love that God has ever given humanity, all of the rightness that Jesus did when he walked on that planet has been

given to you. Yes, that's right. You and me get to receive this righteousness. We don't earn it.

We don't deserve it. All we do is receive it. So right now, repeat these words after me. Say, Jesus,

I receive what you have done for me. Say Jesus, I receive your righteousness.

Our verse goes on to say that now, once we receive the righteousness of Jesus,

now you are flawless in God's eyes.

With your eyes still closed, can you picture yourself flawless? Nothing wrong. Not a single error, not a single wrong. You are flawless. As humans, it is very difficult for us to see ourselves this way.

But our job is to believe that this is how God sees us.

Right now, take these next few moments and have a conversation with God about the fact that he

sees you right now in this moment without changing anything is absolutely flawless.
