0:05.2	1 John chapter 5 verse 13, I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God
0:12.9	that you may know that you have eternal life. This verse is one of my favorite verses to
0:21.8	use and sharing the gospel, especially if I've just met somebody. So I'm an Uber or a Lyft.
0:30.0	And I'm having a conversation with someone. I'm very, very likely to ask them,
0:36.0	hey, if something happened to you today and you died unexpectedly, do you know for sure
0:45.3	that you would go to heaven? And very few people say in response to that, yes, I know for sure.
0:54.4	And that leads into sharing the gospel. And it starts with pointing out what God has said to us
1:01.3	in 1 John 5, 13, I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you
1:07.0	may know you have eternal life. So God has told us that we can know, not like a hope so or I
1:14.8	think so or maybe if the good outweighs the bad in the end, no, we can know we have eternal life.
1:22.2	How through belief and the name of the Son of God, belief in Jesus. What does that mean?
1:28.6	And then to go into the gospel, the reality of who God is and how we have sinned against God,
1:35.0	but how God has made away for our forgiveness through Jesus. And when we're new, repent and believe
1:40.9	and we turn from our sin in ourselves and we trust in Jesus, the Savior and Lord, this is what it
1:46.6	means to believe in the name of the Son of God that through belief, through faith in Him, we can
1:52.8	know we have eternal life. And isn't that awesome news? You and I who have put our faith in Jesus
2:00.9	can know that no matter what happens today to us in this world or if our lives end today,
2:10.9	that we can know we have eternal life. So I want to encourage you today. I want to lead us to
2:18.0	pray according to this verse, but I want to encourage you to share that with somebody today,
2:22.7	tomorrow, before you get too much past that. So sometime in the next day or two, maybe three,
2:30.5	share this with somebody else. Ask them, do you know what would happen to you if you died? Do you
