Summary

In our final episode of 2021 we look through the feast of revelations at the end of the Doctrine & Covenants and look, not at what was revealed, but at how it was revealed and how we can receive more ourselves. Cap off a great year of study with us and head into the holidays with a personal study challenge. Hello and welcome to the Scripture Study Project, our podcast dedicated to helping you discover

0:12.6

the scriptures in a fresh way, invest your mind and heart into your personal study, and connect

0:18.2

to God in your everyday life. We are your host, Krista and Zach Horton. And this week,

0:23.6

we are here to study with you in, well, the rest of the Doctrine and Covenant Studies.

0:30.6

This is going to be our last episode for the year, which we're excited about. We're really

0:36.2

excited for this study. It's a very fitting capstone

0:38.8

to what has been our study in the Doctrine Covenants this year. And the next couple of

0:44.2

studies in Come Follow Me are focused on different revelations that have been received. In this

0:49.7

episode, we're going to focus on revelation and hopefully provide you a lens of study that will carry you

0:55.7

through the next month and give you some interesting insights into these particular scriptures

1:01.7

that we're studying. As we began preparing for this week's episode and the rest of the

1:07.5

episodes for this year, for December, we just felt like everything kind of

1:13.8

tied together. And I think for us, as we prepare for the Old Testament in January, which we are so,

1:19.2

so excited about, the break felt like a good break. And I also think, I don't know, to me,

1:25.1

December is just this month of discovery and joy and Christmas,

1:30.3

and you probably have tons of other things to listen to and study.

1:33.3

And so we hope that you can use this bit of what we share tonight as just maybe the beginning

1:41.3

of a really lovely, wonderful Christmas holiday season, which hopefully

1:45.9

you've already had the start to with Thanksgiving.

1:48.5

And anyway, go listen to either the Polar Express soundtrack for 30 minutes or just some classic

1:57.6

like Bing Crosby.

1:59.2

And that'll be a good way to fill the 30-minute time that you usually spend with us.
