I'm your host Ann Gripper and I am delighted to welcome to the show Tom Jennings, who is executive producer of 1895 films and

Emmy and Peabody Award winner, but most excitingly for us, the man behind the documentary,

Diana in her own words. So Tom, welcome to the show. And thank you very much for having me. It's a pleasure to be here. So I guess it's been a lively last few weeks because this originally was a

documentary that you made a few years ago I'm guessing for the anniversary of

Diana's death when it was 20 years on and for anybody who hasn't yet seen the show

if you just give us a little flavor of how how would you describe it to people?

Well it's very much how I pitched it to Andrew Morton, who had the tapes of Diana.

The show is, the film is basically all about Diana told through her words only and news reports from the time covering Diana. So it's a first person story that Diana

told to a mutual friend on tape, mutual friend of hers and Andrew Morton's in 1991.

And it was the foundation for Andrew Morton's 1992 book, Diana, her true story.

And so it is told from her point of view and from the point of view of

the media that was covering her at the time but it is the story of her life
