Before Kelly Wilson vanished in 1992,

she had become really good friends with this local girl named Jennifer.

Jennifer lived in Gilmer, Texas just a few houses down from Kelly's family.

Like Kelly, Jennifer was a senior in high school that year,

but she went to a smaller school outside of town.

When Kelly never came home from work on the night of January 5, 1992,

Jennifer didn't even find out for a couple of days.

When she heard the news, she hurried over to Kelly's house.

One thing I do remember is that when I went to see her mom Kathy,

when I found out that she was missing,

but I think I found out Tuesday.

As I'm standing there talking to her mom,

she's just saying, you know, Jennifer, they're saying that she's,

you know, they think she's just running away.

She's like, there's no way she's running away.

I mean, she left her purse, she left her contact,

solutions, she left, I mean, she left everything and she's like,

and she left all this money she has.

So she takes me in a room and she opens the drawer and she shows me,

just a water cash, a lot of cash.
