Hey everybody. This is Rob Leifel. You are listening to another episode of Rob

Zervations. We will dub this the Robeservation International episode. It is coming to you from

beautiful positano in Italy. That is where I have been shacked up. Before I hit the road on my vacation tour with my

family, post-pandemic, kind of international stretching of our legs across a couple continents.

We, I had recorded several episodes that you may have heard,

some comic book feuds episodes, uh, some, uh, grim and gritty Legion of Superheroes episodes,

the R-Crum Bible episodes, all of this stuff is stuff that I had recorded prior to my, um,

leaving.

But I figured why not give this a shot? It's going to sound different.

It's only for this episode.

I did not pack my blue Yeti.

I am talking directly into the computer here.

So if you can, for one episode, bear with the maybe more tin sounding echo of this of this broadcast.

I would certainly appreciate it. So bear with me as we jump into a couple of fun topics for this episode.

First off, under the auspices of hot topics is the new ways that comic book companies are getting to

juice your sales. And a couple, and it's always interesting to me that whether it is the

berserker Keanu Reeves comic book that was put out by Boom Studios or more recently

the King Spawn number one numbers announced by Tom McFarlane. It's very interesting to me.

They omit the essential element that got them to this certain number and this is interesting.

The reason I'm talking about it is because it's so fascinating because there are different ways now that people are finding to juice the numbers, to get the numbers

up. Now, you're saying, what are you talking about? You did X-Force number one. It had trading cards

in Polybugs. You're right. I am the perfect guy to talk about this. X-Force number one, as many of you know, following Spider-Man number one, a year prior in 1990,
