1:47.6	Those secret wars have also been kept secret from members of Congress as well as from successive presidents of the United States
1:54.1	who have been kept in the dark as to where US troops have fought and are currently
1:58.4	fighting. So who does know where US military servicemen and women are fighting and have fought over the past nearly quarter of a century?
2:07.0	Well, that would be the Pentagon and the CIA.
2:11.0	They got that authority from the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force, a joint
2:16.7	resolution of the United States Congress.
2:19.5	The AUMF was rushed through Congress in the Senate during the week immediately following 9-11.
2:25.4	It became law on September 18, 2001, authorizing the use of the United States Armed Forces
2:30.4	against those responsible for the 9-11 attacks.
2:34.0	Only one member of the House and no members of the Senate voted against the AUMF.
2:39.0	Democratic Congresswoman from Texas Barbara Lee was the one who voted against it and she was vilified for doing
