Well, welcome to week four of Blessed Are the Spirling. We're so glad to welcome you across Fresh Life Church,

partner churches on the Open Network, Church Online. Thanks for being with us. And we've got a special guest today.

My lovely wife, Jennifer Lesko, is with us. Looking so beautiful as always. And I wanted to invite her to be a part of today and make it more of a conversation

because the title today is second-hand spiraling. And what we want to talk about in this

message is how to care for someone in crisis without slipping into chaos yourself.

And we promise you that by the end of this message,

we're going to offer you some raw, vulnerable, and very practical tools that can help you

if you today are caring for, loving, doing life with, married to, in relationship with

someone who is in a season of spiraling, what do you do to help?

How can you encourage?

How can you bless them?

And I wanted to invite my wife to be a part of this conversation because of the way that

we have both had to care for each other in hard moments.

At the time of the preaching of this message,

21 years of marriage and counting, moving forward, we're so grateful for what God's done in our home.

So grateful. But everybody, Jenny, is at some point going to find themselves in the uncomfortable

position of a spiraling season, but is also going to

perhaps find themselves in a season when they're doing good, they're in a great time, but maybe

the person that they love, a person that they love is struggling and not always knowing how to help, how to make a difference. What can I do to

make things better? So what I hear you saying is either you're going to be in the spiral yourself

or you're going to be helping someone else in the spiral. Or you're going to do that without

either one or the other. Without hopefully getting sucked up by the tornado, right?
