Welcome to the Hockey PEDO cast. My name is Dimitra Filipovich. And joining me is my good buddy

Thomas Trans. Tom, what's going on, man? Oh, and how much? I am so excited for the second round.

You know, I thought, honestly, just like globally speaking about the first round, I know there was like a run of bad calls, right?

And there were a few bad hits that got discussed at length,

you know, the Cogliano hit, McCar McCann,

and of course, the Trooper hit last night.

But for the most part, I felt like this was the best of the NHL product. Like,

I loved the last two weeks. I couldn't take my eyes off of it. And that's, you know,

despite some really good basketball, like lots of other things drawing my attention. I ended up

driving to California this weekend. Like I've had a lot

going on. And yet every night I can't help but tune into these games and I'm loving them.

Like I absolutely love the hockey being played right now. I think this was a really good first

round for the NHL product. Yeah. Well, aside from some of the officiating stuff, but I mean, that's going to happen.

Yeah, the swallowing the whistles thing as the series goes along, which our buddy Camtiron is just

absolutely documenting perfectly. The cynicism of that annoys me. But yeah, I still thought it was,

I don't think those negative storylines overshadowed,

you know, what was a really fun couple weeks of hockey. Well, especially the game seven of

Bruins Panthers was really fun, but like towards the end of that second period, right? David

Pasternak draws that penalty where he kind of like embellishes it. I think it against Brandon

Montour and the referees clearly went into the injure mission,

saw the tape and we're like, oh, he tricked us on that one.
