This week we're doing brief coverage to catch up on a set of cases that have been making

true crime news over the last couple weeks.

First, a fairly unsurprising update, but one that will still likely bring a lot of

solace to a family who is dealt with all too much.

For a quick recap, Crystal Rogers was a Kentucky mother of five who went missing in July

2015.

For years, no arrests in the case were made, but that doesn't mean there wasn't a lot

going on.

Crystal's father, Tommy Ballard, was particularly tenacious about finding his daughter, or at

least bringing her killer to justice.

Dragically, on November 19, 2016, Tommy was shot and killed by a single bullet while preparing

for a hunting trip with his son and 12-year-old grandson.

Police officially called it a hunting accident, but Crystal's mother and Tommy's wife Sherry

called that absolute BS.

Sherry was 100% convinced that whoever had been behind her daughter's death had also

robbed her of her beloved husband.

Gosh.

That's terrible.
