I am Scott Jansett. Join, as always on Sunday nights by Jeff Erickson. Well, except for last week. We were off last week, but it was a nice break, but really good to be back. I missed talking baseball with Jeff. So we're here kind of attacking the second half. I know it's not technically the halfway point,

0:18.1

but I want to call it the second half anyway.

0:20.2

Jeff, how are you?

0:21.2

It's been a couple weeks.

0:21.8

How's everything going?

0:22.9

Doing well.

0:41.7

Happy to be back. You know, I'm a dog owner now.

0:45.5

Congrats on that. That's very good news. I like to hear that. Yeah, yeah. We've got ourselves a rescue.

He's kind of a golden retriever, but he's a lot of everything, I think. But he's a good boy. He's a very good boy, and he loves our company. And just to the point where if I put on my shoes, he gets excited and, you know, he thinks it's walk time, but he likes going in the car with us. He just likes being around us. So it's kind of cool to see. But it is like having a kid all over again, too, in terms of like putting him down for the night and things like that. But that's not, that's in the dog talk podcast. We'll have to do that one separately. I assume the kids are super happy though. Yes, they are. That's awesome. That's good. No, it's, as someone who's had our second rescue now, it's a, it's a very fun thing. And I can't imagine my house without it now.

1:28.5

So it's funny how that works. But yeah, let's jump into the, into the baseball. We're past the All-Star break, all that. We had one series before that. I don't want to do a little, a little check-in on how the season's going for you, what you've learned from the first half, how you're fairing there, how are your major teams doing? So my 15 team leagues are doing better than my 12

1:49.1

team leagues, which I don't know if there's a lesson to be learned there or if it's just

1:54.5

happenstance, especially in the NFPC format, though, the main is doing better than the online

1:59.3

championship, and it's not really even close.

2:01.9

I think it's also been the case there where I, it's, there's two different seasons. There's

2:06.9

the first eight weeks of the season and then everything that's happened after with the pitchers.

2:11.9

I think it's a completely different world. That said, Garrett Cole and Lucas G. Alito

2:15.8

stabilized a little bit at least the last couple of starts.

2:34.3

Hopefully that carries over the rest of the way. It used to be like got so excited for those days. And then for about a month, started dreading that because they always push on the same day, too. You're like, you expect improvement on those days. And when you're backsliding on those days, it really sucks. it does. It's funny. I, you know, I think you and I have talked a few times. I've just, I haven't had quite the time to dig into my teams as much as the year. And I've learned that winning these leagues, like, and it could be NFBC made of energy, could be competitive home league, could be labor, tout, all the stuff that you play also. Like, winning these leagues is tough i've realized that you know i i put a lot of work into my leagues and you know i don't like to talk about a lot but i've done

2:54.2

really well in the nfbc in the past right it's been a struggle this year i i'm very middling um you know i've got one team that's got 91 points which has a chance the other's like in the mid 70s but I just like I've made some mistakes that I usually don't make.

2:49.7

I haven't had quite the time to stick in a fab.
