Today's tip is to remember it is just a phase.

The terrifying and reassuring truth about time is that it keeps passing no matter what

you do.

So for a great many things, most likely this too shall pass.

If you can hang on, soon enough, you'll be dealing with something different.

I wrote this on a day in which I spent quite a lot of the morning dealing with the mercurial

whims of my toddler.

It is really no fun to be asked for a waffle to procure that waffle and then to be hit because

the toddler no longer wants the waffle.

What kept me bumbling through all this ordeal was remembering that my older children don't

do that.

They do other things, but they do not hit me for bringing the waffle they asked for.

Even if I am being smacked by my toddler for bringing breakfast incorrectly, I will not
