And if you feel right now like the ground is shifting

beneath your feet, it is not an earthquake.

It is the sound of our sport being redesigned,

literally from the top down. And usually, and we're always going to

still talk about ball. That's what we do. We're always going to talk about ball. But usually this

time of year, we're talking about depth charts. We're talking about quarterback competitions.

But occasionally, we got to dive into some bigger picture topics.

And today, the most important, quote, game being played isn't being played out there on grass.

It's being played on the parquet floors of the East Room and the White House.

Because on Friday, we saw the sitting president of the United States

hold a saving college sports summit. You have Nick Saban there. You got Charlie Baker there.

You got all four power for commissioners. They're all there. And the headline after the fact is that

they're going to try to ram through an executive order

on returning to some guardrails, some normalcy here that led to our sport becoming as popular as it's

become. So they're kind of treating the tradition of our sport kind of like it's a matter of

national security.

And while the politicians, they're going to talk about the big picture, the coaches in the SEC, for example, they're dealing with the reality on the ground because spring practice is
