I was just talking with one of our folks earlier today.

You know, in a prior lifetime, if you worked in sports media,

this would be the time where you started to talk basketball, baseball,

nothing wrong with those sports.

Played both of them to varying ages in my adolescence.

But, man, I mean, we're college football year-round.

Whomst amongst us wants to start talking about the road to Omaha on this show.

The Road to Omaha is a great road to talk about. College baseball is a great sport.

College basketball, great sport. I'm thinking about going to the final four this year myself.

However, it just won't be discussed on this show because, like, I've got to talk

about which program is the next elite program to ascend to the head table in college football.

That among several other things on the show tonight, we're jam-packed. We're high atop of

a rainy, ugly, disgusting, miserable downtown Nashville, Tennessee, temporary conditions, of course,

Sports and Outdoors. Yeah, talking about some program stuff tonight, you've got a healthy

mixture of stuff on the show, very, very jam-packed. I've got that one show per year where

we do the most toxic thing imaginable, and that is rank the SEC programs, not teams, the programs,

and then we have to go over how we define a

program. It's eerily similar to the JP poll and that you have to explain it and it doesn't matter if you explain it, which means it's right up our alley to add to the show. So I'm going to do that. I'm going to talk about something that's kind of NFL, but it's not really NFL. The entire Jalen Hertz story, I'm ready to make a definitive statement on it. I'm ready to land. Some of you sometimes, falsely, in my opinion, accuse me of fence riding. Well, I will not ride the fence on Jalen Hertz. I'll just tell you something that I flat out feel. And if I were to ask you, could you tell the Jalen Hertz story? Most of you would say yes, especially if you're watching this show. Most of you would say yes. Most Bama fans would say absolutely yes. I bet you a lot of you

would forget one or two chapters of that story that as soon as I say them, you'll go, oh, wow, I

forgot about that. Wow, that's right. It's important. Very important. And then we have the age-old question of should college football be copying the NFL on anything. And we have to do this a few times a year as well. We drop the pinata from the ceiling, aka the question. We pull out our collective baseball bats and we just swing wildly.
