Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the Hub Day edition of the yard.

0:08.0

Hope you're having a great week. It's been a little different week, right? We've had so much going on for the last several months. I tell people all the time about the only time that we get any time off in our industry.

0:21.3

I'm not whining, but it's July.

0:24.2

That's it, because, you know, let's just say for an example,

0:28.0

we open up with fall camp, you know, and goodness,

0:32.0

I guess that'll be in July, you know, the end of July.

0:36.6

And then it's nonstop all the way through June we have

0:40.5

prospect camps you got baseball portal stuff in good years you have postseason

0:46.6

baseball you know there's just a lot very blessed to do what I do but there's not a lot of

0:53.1

downtime at least not for those of us that

0:55.4

actually work for a living but all that I understood I think now is a good time for us start talking

1:01.6

about some football stuff and so we're going to do that basically on every show between now and

1:05.6

football we're going to go ahead and start getting ready I know many people are just kind of like

1:10.0

The year before he had, I think, two pitchers and a couple of catchers and one position player. But he's not a huge portal guy. And this year's different, obviously, as he's bringing some of his own players in. But, yeah, we expect double-digit portal guys when it's all said and done.

1:45.8

But I think this season will prove to be an outlier in that respect.

1:49.5

As O'Connor has said, he really wants to focus on high school players and development.

1:55.4

And so a lot to talk about.

1:59.5

But I don't think that baseball portal is going to keep us busy most summers.

2:03.7

I think most June, we're still going to be playing baseball.

2:07.4

And we'll take a look at the final eight in Omaha.

2:10.2

We'll take a quick look at that later in the show.

2:13.5

But we're going to talk some football.
