to the ball game. How about take me home to the ballpark? A recent proposal from council president Sarah Nelson would permit housing in the stadium district just south of T-Mobile Park,

but not everyone thinks it's a home run.

King County is facing a projected $150 million budget deficit over the next two years. This morning, the King County Council will talk about what could be

on the chopping block, including funding for police, prosecutors, and public health. County officials

are looking to the state legislature for help,

which includes a proposed bill that would allow King County to increase property taxes at a higher

rate than is currently allowed. This morning's meeting is at 930, streaming live on King County TV.

Dozens of Washington workers will split more than $370,000 in back pay.

It's the result of a legal settlement between Washington State and Glacier Northwest,

a contractor that did work on the Highway 99 Tunnel Project.

State officials say the workers were not paid legal wages.

In some cases, $18 an hour less than they were supposed to be. Some individual

workers are owed more than 30 grand. And Apple announced plans this week to hire 20,000 new
