will still be closing schools, but far fewer than in their original proposal.

Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein is rallying at Washington Hall at 5 p.m. tonight.

She'll be joined by former Seattle City Councilmember Shama Sawant and the Workers' Strike Back Party.

Sawant said in a speech in Michigan earlier this month that Stein may not have a realistic path to the White House, but that her goal is to defeat Democrat Kamala Harris in the election.

She called Harris a more reliable and consistently controllable tool for billionaire interests

and criticized her support of Israel.

And heads up, if you're at a parking meter around the city, autumn rates go into effect today.

More than half of the rates around the city will stay the same.

A quarter will increase by 50 cents an hour.

S.DOT says the goal is to have one or two open parking spots in every area of the city

at all times.
