shopping is practically a way of life in Seattle, yet thrift stores are struggling and thrift shoppers are

seeing higher prices. Seattle Times reporter Jessica Fu says it's all about how the secondhand

markets economics are changing. We'll talk more about that in a few minutes, but first, let's get you

caught up. The Seattle City Council will get an update on expanding the city's care team this morning.

Those are the unarmed mental health professionals who are dispatched to some 911 calls alongside police officers.

The care team has responded to more than 1,600 calls since its

inception in 2023. Right now, they're only responding to calls downtown. This morning, officials

will lay out plans to dispatch the team citywide this year. The King County International Airport,

also known as Boeing Field, is now the first airport in the nation with a hybrid

electric fire truck. County officials say the new addition will mean the oldest diesel fire truck

in the fleet will be retired. The airport plans to electrify more of its vehicle fleet in the future.

And a big art exhibit is opening tomorrow at Seattle Art Museum. It's I Rebell,

the art and activism of I. Weiwei. It's a retrospective of his work, including early

black and white photographs, sculptures and other large-scale installations. Museum officials say

it's the largest ever U.S. exhibition of Ai Weiwei's work.
