I'm Evie Stokes and you're listening to In Our Headphones and I have Seattle artist C. Lemon in the studio with me today, also known as Natalie Liu.

Yes. And you released an album last year. You did a bunch of touring following that release. Did you have any highlights from that tour or anything that you came back like I'm stronger in this now.

0:21.2

Oh, that's such a good question. Yeah. Um, definitely like my emotional and mental fortitude

0:27.3

after this last round of touring was, I just felt like a lot stronger, honestly. Um, part of that

0:34.9

was because we had never really done headline shows like in a more serious context

0:39.4

and we did a headline show in New York and in L.A. and in Seattle. And they just felt like bigger

0:45.7

than the shows that I had done before. And not just like from a capacity perspective, but also just

0:49.5

like we had tracks and we were really working as a band and it felt like we were practice and we were ready.

0:55.1

And it kind of was like one of those like light bulb moments where you're like, oh, yeah, if I put the work into this, the show is better, which makes sense.

But sometimes can take a while to get there.

1:04.8

But we opened for death cab last summer, which was so incredible and amazing.

1:09.9

And it was just so fun to, like, see Ben and his

1:12.9

element and see the band and, like, open for such an enormous show and see, like, the fandom

1:17.4

that comes with death cab. So, yeah, it was kind of an amazing year, honestly. I saw Death Cab last

1:23.6

year, and it's very fun to watch everybody sing along to every single song. Yeah. Like like, that's a dedicated fan base right there. And the crazy thing is like, I can sing along to every single song. You're like, I'm that person. That's the thing is like, you know, we've opened for all these amazing bands in the past, but like there is no other band like Death Cab where I'm like, well, legitimately I know every single song. Like, and I felt like, I mean, when I was like in the 10th grade, I remember going to a death cab concert and being like front row and like running to the front. And, you know, it's crazy now being like, well, I could text Ben. Yeah. What a full circle moment for you. That's so cool. I love that for you. Well, you brought a new track today, a new song. This one is from

2:02.4

Arlo Parks. It's a new single called Two-sided. I love this song. And I'm so excited. We get to talk

2:08.1

about it. So let's listen to it. I've been waiting for this moment whole night

2:18.0

Yeah, I only made it out for you
