Where is the sacrifice?

And tell me where is the pain? Well, I don't know how many of you have paid

I don't know how many of you have paid attention to this.

It will crop up, I'm sure, but, you know,

always weird Pacific Northwest.

I should qualify that by saying,

always weird Pacific Ocean adjacent Pacific Northwest, especially in its large cities.

Eastern Oregon is beautiful, Eastern Washington, very sane.

We love all of you.

We're talking about Seattle.

Seattle, which has many disfunctions that have been growing over the last decade, at least a huge homeless population,

plenty of trouble, kind of woke government run amuck.

Chris Rufo, one of Claremont Institutes Lincoln Fellow Alums, works for the Manhattan Institute now and writes about

a bunch for City Journal.

Chris actually, I don't know if you guys know this, but ran for City council right outside Seattle and had to basically withdraw because

Antifo started going after him and his family and it was getting pretty nasty and he decided

it wasn't worth, wasn't worth the cost.

But in Seattle we have this this thing which goes by the acronym of Chaz, the capital

hill autonomous zone where you have a motley crew of Seattle residents and denizens taking over a few city blocks and declaring it a free zone and issuing a series of demands like

abolish the police reparations in the

college tuition, you know de gentrification etc.
