Hello and welcome to the Tifa Football Podcast. I'm Joe Devine, your host, and today I was joined by Alex Stewart.

0:07.1

This is part two of the Premier League Season Review podcast. Last week, we covered the top four teams.

0:13.4

This week, we cover everyone all the way down to Stoke and Swansea. We talk about West Brom a little bit,

0:19.6

but we've decided to extend this to a three-parter and come back next week and talk about the relegated teams. Perhaps have a look at the promoted teams from the championship for next season. And talk about relegation more broadly. Who's to blame? We begin that conversation at the end of this podcast. Anyway, thank you very much for downloading today's episode. Hope you enjoy it. And here's the jazz flute.

Okay, let's kick things back off with Chelsea.

1:00.7

Part two of the Premier League roundup.

1:02.8

Apologies for the croakiness of my voice.

1:04.3

I'm unwell, Alex.

1:05.4

Oh.

1:06.9

Yeah, exactly.

1:07.3

That'll do.

1:07.6

Blah.

1:07.9

1:17.2

Chelsea have won the FA Cup. What a surprise. I believe I remember saying that myself last week, Alex.

1:23.1

I think you did. Yes. Congratulations. In a two-horse race, one of us picked one. One of us picked the other.

1:32.4

Yeah, we end up looking very clever. Either way, yes. Okay, well, let's talk about Chelsea because they've had a very strange season. I mean, you know, they sort of ran away with it last year in a very tactical way.

1:44.6

In fact, they were one of the teams that first gained some notoriety for TIFO or UMX it as we were then

1:50.6

because we were interested in the style and the formational change and system change that Conte brought in with him,

1:57.7

which seems to have been far less impactful this season. Of course, it's, you know, it's a slightly higher note to finish with an FA Cup victory, but they're outside of the top four, probably for the first time in quite a while. I'm not certain how many years, but I think it will be the first time in a while for Chelsea. We all assume that Antonio Conte is leaving, so, you know, he's just signing out with the FA Cup trophy.

2:19.6

I don't think that made any difference.

2:21.2

So I'm not even really sure where to start, because it's quite an unusual situation, isn't it, Alex?
