So these are always dangerous, right? We've we've got our predictions, which obviously are not particularly infallible. And then there's the danger of trying to make assessments based on minuscule three and four game samples.

And so the question is, can you distinguish between statistical anomalies and just unlucky shooting or a tough schedule or an easy schedule versus what's real and what isn't.

So there's certainly a chance that we could have had our predictions, be turning against them now after three or four games.

And then oh, wait, no, we probably should have just stayed with the process that brought us to those predictions to begin with because those were based on trying to look at these teams in a less

ephemeral way, whereas really your passions can kind of be inflamed by the first week of the season. But nonetheless, this is kind of the fun of this exercise.

We are going to soldier on here. So, you know, we did our predictions podcast, not 10 days ago, Danny, which prediction in terms of season wins?

Are you feeling the worst about one week into the season?

I'm sure there would be pressure considering the Lakers haven't won a game as of when we recorded this. I fully expect that they will beat the suns on Wednesday night.

Or is that game on Thursday? Wednesday. Okay. So I say it's Denver. That's the one we're doing.

Yeah, for the first order of the issue. Yeah. So I'm sure there'd be people say, oh, you should pick that. I said the Lakers win 46. I actually still feel decently about that.

Hmm. So the one that I feel the most off on this point, I would probably, I mean, what part of what I'm realizing in this and it happens is that I, so I said Boston would win 60.

That was one that you were skeptical of. And I think Boston will win a lot of games this year, but 60 is a big number. Like that's a threshold that takes a lot.

They have to be really healthy and all that. So I still feel that Boston's going to finish with the best record in the Eastern Conference.

But you can, it's so, it's so easy to slip up for a gamer to like the one they had against Orlando that I think I was a little bit to cavalier about giving them that kind of a win total when they haven't done it before.

Yeah, Boston's offense has really been disappointing. They are third to last in the NBA now below a point per possession, which is pretty tough for me. I had them at 57. I think those still end up right right about it in that range.

Yeah. And to be clear, I think they're going to end up in around that range too. I just feel like giving a team 60. It feels different. It's like, okay, you know, they're unambiguously like dominant. I think it won 58 and I would just to feel like, oh, why did I push it that hard?

So I think for me, I got a few candidates here. New Orleans 46. They certainly look like they're going to be way better than that. I did thankfully take their over, but just by 0.5 of a game. Aren't you glad I taught you into that, too, by the way, Danny?

You and me when we did the full team preview on them picking them to win 48 could both both combined to help convince me. But yes, I'm thankful.

Yeah, yeah, I guess you you convinced yourself when reminded of what you had done previously. So some candidates here Houston 59. You know, I'm low to judge them right now with Paul having been out for this will be his second game. They've got a lot of injuries.
