Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.

Folks, my name is Abdrahman Bashir and I currently serve as the Imam

of the Islamic Association at Allen and have been doing so for the last three and a half years.

My family and I moved here due to the amazing family atmosphere

and vibe this community had to offer.

During my time here I have discovered that the same applies to many other

masjid as well.

It is indeed a blessing of Allah to live in a city where

neighboring masjid and communities work hand in hand to make the future better and brighter

for our upcoming generations.

Folks, as we have entered the blessed month of Dulhajja,

we are reminded of ibrahim alaihi salam, his life, his family, his struggles, his sacrifices,

and the amazing wisdom and foresight Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala blessed him with.

The inspirations and lessons from his life still echo throughout the world today.

His life serves as an inspiration that earned him a blessed mention at the ending of every

salah and prayer that we offer.

Now folks, throughout the course of this evening and tomorrow evening,

nine imams and shayuh will be sharing with you different angles from his life,

meant to inspire us to also put God's will before our own.
