The stories we tell on love letters are usually pretty intimate.

Often it's just one person sharing very personal details about their love life.

Well, it's time to pull back the curtain a little bit.

For season 9 of Love Letters, our theme is,

thanks for the help.

Because in almost every love story,

there are important people in the background, like friends, relatives, therapists, all of whom play a key role in what happens.

All this season will be telling stories about the ways in which people got crucial help or assistance in their romantic lives,

like life-changing advice from trusted confidants.

She's always been super supportive of queer and trans identities and of me specifically.

So she was just a really safe place for me to go to.

And pivotal conversations with parents. My dad was in a chair and we're just talking and he's just suddenly out of nowhere.

Just says,

My dad's only,

that's what's going to which translates to, I don't know you well and I went yeah.

And exes who became master matchmakers.

I really wanted them to get together

and I, because I knew Zoe separately,

I knew Michael separately

and I thought, oh, these two would,

this would be good.
