There will be more to come with sharing some beautiful truths that I’ve learned and received from my sweet Mama’s legacy. But for now, this is me letting you in on some of the last days and hours of her precious life here on earth.

When we released the beloved hymn, Be Thou My Vision, on November 10th, I could never have imagined that my mother would go Home to Jesus just eleven days later. This song would become a prophetic anthem for me to hold onto and sing over this season.

Whatever you are walking through this season, I pray that this episode (and this song) meets you in the most powerful way!

0:21.2	2023 which feels monumental in many ways but also as I open up
0:27.4	about the last days and even hours of my mama's precious life here on earth. I haven't processed out loud with
0:36.0	very many people yet. In fact, I just got my hair done this past week and I
0:40.2	wasn't even ready to tell my hair stylist out loud about what I was going through.
0:45.9	So Sarah, if you're listening by chance, I'm sorry, it's not that I don't trust you.
0:50.6	I just wasn't ready to say it out loud in such a public space.
0:55.0	Although a podcast is a very public space,
0:58.0	it actually feels very meaningful and fitting to process out loud with you my podcast family as many of you have
1:06.0	truly been on this journey with me and I want to say thank you to those of you who have
1:11.6	prayed for my mama and who have prayed for me and our family during this time.
1:16.0	We have felt truly held by those prayers and we know that prayer has everything to do with the fact that we've kept experiencing
1:25.0	the grace of God in such tangible ways. In fact, my dad has articulated it so well in saying that each morning we've found God's grace to be more.
1:38.0	Yes, the pain has been overwhelming, but we keep finding his grace to be more. I know that your prayers have been a huge
1:47.3	part of that so thank you so much. You'll notice that my voice is struggling a little bit. I actually have been sick for more than 10 days.
1:56.4	It actually started the night before my mom's memorial service and has carried on and on since then. I'm finally actually feeling better, but my voice,
2:06.4	hoarseness and a lingering cough has just stayed pretty persistent and I'm looking
2:11.6	forward to feeling myself again in many ways.
2:15.0	But I named today's episode, Be Thou My Vision, for several reasons that I'll tell you about in this episode,
2:21.0	but one of them is because I had actually planned on bringing
2:24.9	the podcast back this fall around the release of our song, Be Thou My Vision on November 10th,
