But it's hard to accept that I'll never know for sure whether you liked it.

I'll never know what you thought when you first stepped off the bus or out of the car

and felt the air of this place hit you.

It's not so different from the air in Amarillo, of course, but it's not quite the same, either.

I'll never know if you came here at all.

I'll never know if you actually came to any of the places I've sent you.

It seemed so simple when I was making the other tapes.

I went from place to place and I could almost feel you following me.

It was like you were walking beside me almost.

Like I could feel you in the future tracing my steps.

But maybe you never went.

Maybe you won't go.
