I can't stay here anymore. I have to get out. I'm so scared.

I didn't sleep last night, not at all. It was too scared of dreaming. I can't take another one

of those dreams. There are enough all in the room. At least I don't think I slept. I tried not to sleep.

But this morning my mind was so crowded by things that happened during the night. Except they didn't happen.

I was sure a window had broken again. The same one, the one on the landing just down from my room.

There was broken glass all over the floor and the window was whistling through the shattered

pain. I don't know what had broken it, but no, I do. It was a person. Someone put their fist

through the window, a window on their first floor with nothing outside it, no tree, or anything to

let anyone get up high enough. How does one know that a window was punched out when no one saw

the window break? Does the house tell me what it wants me to know? I have these dreams, but I don't
