I'm Meredith Monday Schwartz, a mom of four, and full-time CEO living in Austin, Texas.

And I'm always surprised how much I need books to just live my day to day.

And I'm Katie Cobb, a homeschooling mama for living in Arizona.

And sometimes my bookish life is more about buying books than reading them.

All right Katie well we are ready to talk about whatever book buying spree that you've been on or book talking spree. I know you've been doing a lot of book related things lately.

Yes, I have been living a bookish life lately even though my reading life has been a little slumpy like we talked about two weeks ago.

Things are not working perfectly yet. We're making progress. But first I'll let everybody know here at the top of the show

our deep dive today because it is April 1st and we tried this last year and it was a huge hit we are doing yet again our no prep current reads episode which means neither Meredith nor I knows what book we are going to talk about for our current

reads today, and it's a surprise to both of us. We'll see when we get there.

In the meantime, we have a little mischief to manage. It is the first Monday of the month. It is the first of the month and that means it's time for our only focused ad for ourselves every month where we talk about our Patreon. Meredith this month we were super excited because we just recently did our survey to talk about one of the things that continues to come up all these many years later in that we had almost 1,300 people respond to our patron listener survey and almost a thousand of them said that one of the most important reasons that they support the show is our lack of ads.

So every month we say you're only going to hear one ad

for ourselves every month and this is it.

And that is really important to our supporters.

They love that they can come here for a hundred percent book talk that it's always our voices,

no annoying music, no random changes in volume.

We are here talking books for that entire hour every single week and that is worth the price of admission
