Summary

When I had a heart procedure done a few years ago, I was told that I would be feeling great afterwards. This was not my experience! Instead, shortly after going home I was taken right back to the ER with overwhelming pains that were shooting through my body. The heart procedure had damaged some nerves at the point of entry for the surgery. These nerves went crazy and sent lightning bolts of pain through my body for a few days. Once the pain resolved, I actually did feel much better than I had felt before going into the procedure. The end was better than the beginning, but I had to be patient and walk through some pain before getting to that "better" part. In this Season 5 Intro episode, I'm sharing my theme verse with you, explaining the blessing of how this simple habit helps. If you don't have an annual theme verse, pick one today. 1:12.2	and we were wanting a different result than we would have gotten if we would have taken a giant step backwards and asked the Lord, Lord, what would you like me to do?
1:19.9	Lord, where would you like me to go? Lord, when would you want me to do this next thing?
1:31.2	Do it yourself is okay when you're talking about a little old home project, but don't be a D.Y. I are on your Christian life. God does the work in us,
1:39.5	and we follow him. Do you have a theme verse for your year? As I'm working on the episodes for 2025,
1:47.9	I have a theme verse for this year, and it's Ecclesiastes 7-8, which says this,
1:53.3	better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof, and the patient in spirit is better than the

2:03.4	and this one, as I'm looking at it, I'm thinking, oh, why does this feel like it's going to be an
2:08.3	educational year? Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof. You know what? Isn't that
2:16.7	true? Sometimes we don't like how things are going,
2:21.3	but then at the end of the process, we're so grateful for what we went through to get to the
2:27.7	spot that we're at now, the good spot. A theme verse really leads us to focus on scripture and to focus on God and how he works in us.
