Summary

At the end of May 1998, nearly two months after Sylvia Fleming went missing, building developer Patrick Haughey was woken early one morning by the telephone. Police needed access to a four-bedroom detached house he was developing on Circular Road in County Tyrone.

17 year old Sylvia Fleming lived in Oma Northern Ireland.

It was reported that the part-time fireman had garnered a local reputation for being a quote Jack the lad he thought highly of himself and his ability to attract the opposite sex.

Being a fireman part of his job was visiting schools giving talks on the subject but before that he held down various positions.

He served in the British army he was a gardener and a council cleaner for a time.

He was born and raised in England but moved to Ireland his mother's birthplace after her marriage dissolved.
