while being Polly is becoming more common,

it still doesn't seem understood

even in the queer community.

How did you go about writing,

in my opinion,

a very accurate depiction

of a very monogamous couple becoming a little more open to polyamory when it's brought up in a consensual manner?

Yeah. I won't pretend to be an expert on poly. I got into it because I was in a decade-long marriage, realized I was extremely queer, a friend

expressed interest in me, and I specifically wanted to date her. So my experience was not really

like jumping in fully like, oh man, I'm a solo polyamorous now and I'm going to go date a

bunch of people. I still have not really gone on dates with people because that's not like

the place in my life that I am in right now. So when I wrote it, it was a similar thing where it was

specifically Ned and Bill realizing that they had

deeper feelings for each other. And Ned and Bill and Rob realizing, like, they trusted each other

enough at that point that they could just talk about it, like, very regularly, which in my

experience is exactly how it goes. Like I think it feels very

scary if you've never experienced before or if you've had bad experiences because that can

happen just like bad experiences can happen in monogamy. But it's, yeah, it's honestly just like
