What's up? Wait For It, listeners.

It is me, Ronald Young Jr.

And you're probably wondering, where is season three of Wait For It?

Well, we wanted to release the season back in September.

But I got pretty overwhelmed thinking about two things. The first is the kind of monumental

landscape shift in podcasting, meaning that two years ago when we first put out episodes of

wait for it, audio podcasting, what we know as podcasting at the time, was pretty much what it was. Some podcasts had video

attached to them, but most ideas of what a podcast were were built around this idea of

audio first. That's what podcasting is. Now we're in a landscape where video podcasting seems to

be more of the norm and more of what folks

are looking for when it comes to podcasting. When I say folks, I don't mean you, the listener,

but more of the ad sponsors, the folks who are funding podcasts are looking for a video element

to be attached to podcasting in a way that makes narrative podcasting harder.

There's not a lot of money in narrative podcasting.
