Summary

On this week's Very Special episode of Currently Reading, Meredith and Kaytee are capping off the very end of the season with our Best of Season 3 episode.

Following the same format as in year's past, you'll get to hear about our favorite moments, our biggest cringey flubs, and everything in between. We love taking time to reflect on the path behind as we move into the road ahead.

As per usual, time-stamped show notes are below with references to every book and resource we mentioned in this episode. If you'd like to listen first and not spoil the surprise, don't scroll down!

New: we are now including transcripts of the episode (this link only works on the main site). These are generated by AI, so they may not be perfectly accurate, but we want to increase accessibility for our fans!

*Please note that all book titles linked below are Amazon affiliate links. Your cost is the same, but a small portion of your purchase will come back to us to help offset the costs of the show. Thanks for your support!*

Hey readers, welcome to the currently reading podcast. We are bookish best friends who spend

0:15.5

time every week talking about the books that we've read recently and as you know we don't

0:20.1

shy away from those strong opinions so get ready.

0:23.8

We are light on the chit chat, having on the book talk and our descriptions will always

0:27.2

be split free. This week we're throwing our regular format out the window.

I'm Meredith Mundish, wards a mom of four and full-time CEO living in Austin, Texas and

0:36.2

I am having a lot of fun planning my summer reading and I'm Katie Cobb, a homeschooling

0:41.7

mom of four living in New Mexico and 147 episodes later I still love doing this. This is episode

0:48.5

number 49 of season three and we are so glad you're here.

0:53.1

Is this really at the 147th episode of currently reading?

0:57.4

Of the big show of currently reading, yeah. Of course there's more than that. We have

1:01.1

many soats, we have lots of Patreon bonus content but this is the big show episode 147.

1:07.6

Right, because of the decision that we made early on about numbering them per season

1:12.9

as opposed to in total, sometimes I forget to do that math in my head and I forget kind

1:18.4

of where we are. 147 big show episodes is a big deal, Katie. So yes, this is the last

1:25.5

episode of season three. We are going to do a very special episode as we do every year

1:32.2

we like to end the season with what we call our best of episodes. So we are going to go

1:38.5

through several different kinds of questions that we ask ourselves at the end of every season.

1:43.5

It's a way to look at the season as a whole and pick out the stuff that we loved most.

1:48.2

The stuff that maybe we regret and just generally take a look at it and then we take a summer

1:55.6
