Hey readers, welcome to the currently reading podcast. We are bookish best friends who spend time every week talking about the books that we've read recently.

0:19.0

And as you know, especially lately, we're not going to shy away from having strong opinions so get ready.

0:25.3

We are light on the chit chat heavy on the book talk and our descriptions will always

0:30.6

be spoiler free. We'll discuss our current reads, a bookish deep dive, and then we'll press

0:34.8

books into your hands. I'm Meredith Monday Schwartz, a mom of four, and full-time CEO living in Austin, Texas,

0:41.5

and I have spent a lifetime wishing I could just be left alone with my book.

0:46.0

1:28.8

This week means we are taking out our own ad

1:31.5

at the top of the show, which we like to do just once a month because we only have

1:35.6

one advertiser, so we are our own other advertiser. We like to talk a little bit about becoming

1:42.0

a patron supporter of currently reading, becoming what we call a bookish

1:46.3

friend.

1:47.3

So Katie, do you want to remind everybody what they get when they become a bookish friend?

1:51.0
