Hi, this is Jonathan Messinger and I wanted to send out this short special episode to all of you loyal listeners of the Alien Adventures of FinCaspian and bebop tales.

And I have a little bit of bad news and some good news. bebop, which news should we go with first? Good news or bad news?

Whatever, it's all the same to me.

Okay, well, let's say good news first. And that good news is that we're just a week away from beginning the second season of the Alien Adventures of FinCaspian.

We're going to be back on February 7th, one week from today and I've been working really hard on this season and I think you're really going to like it.

It's a little bit different than last season with a bunch of new planets to explore, some more ridiculous aliens and a quest that the Explorer Shoot 301 must complete or one of our heroes will be in serious danger.

Sigh, danger, bring it on.

bebop, okay, so that's the good news. We'll be back on February 7th. The bad news? Should I tell them the bad news, bebop?

Might as well.

Well, the bad news is that as you might have guessed, our old friend bebop here is in a serious funk. He's been sad ever since the end of bebop tales.

He's been out of the spotlight and that's been really, really hard for him. That's not what it is.

Oh, I'm sorry, well then, what is it, bebop?

Well, I mean, I did enjoy the international acclaim and the six Grammy nominations for my singing that came with bebop tales, but it's just...

I know you're going to say it silly, but you know how I campaigned. Very, very hard and I really thought I was going to be president.

Oh, well, you know, you didn't actually run for president.

Of course I did. I declared it on the show. I said I was going to be president of the world or whatever. Remember my son.

Hail to the chief, the chief, the chief. His name is bebop. Hail to bebop.

Oh no, no, no, no, no, bebop. Don't cry. Oh, I've never seen a robot cry before and it's, you know, not to be insensitive or anything, but could you not drip oil on my carpet, please?

Who cares about the carpet? I want to be president of podcast planners.

Okay, I still don't think you know what a president does exactly, but you know, it's interesting that you bring this up because our new president has now been inaugurated.

And if you've seen the news lately, you know a lot of people on both sides are really upset. They're blaming each other. There's a lot of arguing and a lot of ugliness out in the world right now.

...
