Tell me about Ike.

He was one of my favorites because when they, a friend of his saw me in South Africa and he told me,

if he ever come to the United States, to come and look me up.

And my mother brought him to me when he was about 19, I guess.

And I put him in the golden gloves and he won everything.

He won the state and went to the nationals and he didn't do

too well in the nation but we turned pro and he just was a fine student you know he learned real fast

and he wanted you to teach him something new every day so we had a good relationship.

I was an athlete and I could play baseball, I could play basketball, I could play like a box and I tell people about boxing. You can play

baseball and you can play basketball but you can't play boxing. It was, the guys were good and capable of being world champions.

You know they just had the standard line and went their turn and I tell these young

guys today they rushed these guys to the championship and they don't even know how to

throw a jab. They don't even know what to survive. And, you know, and they don't have their

PhD. I think we did. We had our PhD before we learned when we won the championship. It was

difference.
