Well you know what I everybody knows Chavez is a great body puncher so I prepared for that I knew like going away going to my left I'd go away from his left hook to the liver

but one thing that surprised me with Chavezab is is he had a very good jab, very accurate.

You never hear about that with him.

But right off I could tell like because he'd throw that jab, a stiff jab, and he would catch me. And I said, wow well I learned early on how to pick return slip

get away from the jab but I noticed with him I said huh this is something that I

didn't see with him, a good left jab.

I remember going to the ring first and then he even walking down the aisle and then

him getting in the ring taking his robe off. I mean I couldn't believe it just the built.

He he looked huge for me you know and that's what I had what I saw.

You know if you got your faculties, you don't want to get hurt in this game.

And I knew there that if I had continued,

had been in bad trouble.

You know, it's too dangerous of a sport and I knew it was over.

It wasn't with the commission, the York State Athletic Commission, but it went on for 10 years and that was a tough part too because I didn't want people to see me as somebody just looking for money.

It wasn't that. And it felt like that, that was the problem, but I also felt there was some justice there that needed to be explained.

And I feel that way even with Otto, we're close.

We're there for each other.

But at the same time, he doesn't need any babysitting.

He doesn't need somebody that's right there.

You know, you have to be careful with the relationship with the trainer as well because you can't be too good a friends either.
