or mad at me, or dead, whichever.

Or maybe you've come overall political and taken to the streets. I

somehow can't imagine that, but maybe it seems like a fun day out. Zed was very excited by it all,

whatever it is that's going on. It's tough to get a clear story out of him. He's always going on

about something, rather. Some person who's been arrested for breaking

into a childhood center, some underground paper claiming the minister of sports or something,

I don't know, has a secret child. Some business leader is assisting in cover-ups. I don't know what,

but he seems to think that people are very upset. Can't imagine wanting to spend hours standing in the street over politics.

Aren't people's lives mostly fine? Said as much to Zed and he said, that's just what they want

you to think. So apparently my life is not fine and I've been unaware of it this entire time.

I mean, except for having to deal with you so much, but I don't think I can blame the government for that. But I guess if there

are protests, people must have some kind of reason. Do you know anything about them? If you can

afford to take a second away from your overwhelming

workload, I could use a clearer picture than what Zed's capable of giving.

Oh wait, I think that Zed's boat coming in from the cargo ship. Maybe you've already sent

news.

Just food and medication in that shipment then. And the only message from you is to say things

are fine and can you have

more of the red seaweed? Scrawled on a single piece of paper torn out of a notebook, no updates

either scientific or political. Is it not too much to expect that you acknowledge my existence,

that you update me on how your research is progressing.
