What comes to mind when you think of Sears?

Maybe the nostalgia and strange commercials? come see a many sides of fear.

Maybe the appliances or all the standard clothes they featured in malls.

The uncanny valley mannequins maybe?

Sears practically had everything growing up.

They were like Macy's or J.C. Penny's,

always at one end of the mall taking up an exorbitant amount of room

with a line that always seemed to take longer than it should have, at least in my experience.

So naturally, when we talk about the downfall of Sears, you're probably assuming that it ended the same way all the other mall retailers did.

That's what other sources say after all that Sears's key failure was a lack of

innovation.
