Today, how those two academics talk their way into the heart of one of the darkest

corners of the Syrian government? And what they found hidden there?

of these two academics who had found a video of a war crime, and then managed to contact the

perpetrator, a Syrian government intelligence agent. I got a bad feeling. I thought, these two

in their heads, this is the stuff that MI6 or the CIA try to do, not social scientists

at a research institute. It was halfway through our first day in Amsterdam, meeting or
