I overheard a conversation earlier earlier and I miss heard it,

but I thought it was rather funny. My version that I miss heard was funnier than the real version.

Someone asked Theo how his weekend had been, our political editor. And I thought he replied,

same as yours, which is a brilliant answer, isn't it? Because goodness me,

Grand Dog Day almost doesn't cut it anymore, but that is not what he actually said.

So how was your weekend? Same as yours, James, pretty much, or at least same as the last 40 weekends that we've probably...

No, not quite, because we came in, we came out, we shook it all about. And now we're back again.

It's probably a little crass and simplistic to do it thusly, but I'm going to, at least at the beginning.

And then hopefully we will, as ever on the program, we'll manage to find some more nuanced and sophisticated conversational threads.

But there is something rather jarring about this juxtaposition of headlines, isn't there?

newspaper it is from the font. You could call me an anorac if you wanted, but I'd almost certainly
