And today we have a very special guest. It is writer-director Simon Barrett,

who has a movie called Sayouts coming out in theaters on demand and digital on May 21st. Simon,

welcome. Thank you for having me. I'm delighted to be here.

Yeah, your movie, Sayouts, I was wondering what your inspiration for this movie was.

Um, I mean, I grew up reading a certain style of murder mystery, and also weirdly,

like something that's kind of started coming up in interviews that maybe like I should just

mostly be talking to the therapists is the fact that I've read, I've read like hundreds of

sweet valley high and babysitter's club books. Oh, like, and I mean, literally hundreds.

And I wrote them as a youth, because I thought they would give me like insight into like,
