Welcome to the Inside Carolina podcast. John Siegler here with Sean Moran talking UNC basketball today. Sean, I think the last

time you and I spoke, Carolina was still in the NCAA tournament. Shortly thereafter, though,

they were ousted by Texas A&M. But, you know, I figured that since it has been a while since we

talked, we could lead this thing off with just getting kind of your general

views on on the season. Yeah, so last time we chatted, it was right before the tournament. And at the time,

was definitely scared of Texas A&M. I thought they would have been, it's easy to say in hindsight,

but I think I mentioned they were going to be the toughest matchup in the West bracket, even though Michigan is in the championship game. I still didn't think that

highly of them and was definitely concerned about Texas size or Texas A.m. size, but we saw what

happened. And I guess, you know, overall on the season, they went 26.11 and got a two seed, which really come into the end of the season. I don't think anybody would have expected. So overall, I was definitely happy with how the season went. And, you know, being able to fall back on a championship always, always helps the matter. So, you know, we've seen how that has

gone in 2006 and also 2010 with the NIT year. And we didn't really know what we were going to get

outside of Joel and Theo and to have Luke May really step up like he did for the majority of the

year. And Cam Johnson really came on as well as

Kenny Williams shooting. And then you even got some, you know, brief high moments from Sterling

and Garrison Brooks off the bench. And obviously, I think a lot of people thought Jalik Felton was

going to be the top freshman. And that didn't turn out like everybody expected.

But overall, I thought it was a good season and a two seed.

And if they had just lasted to that second round of the tournament, I think everybody would

have felt a little better about how it ended.

Yeah, definitely.
